When connecting to a Sharepoint Folder, automatically create separate queries for each file

Hi all,

Is it possible to have the files within a sharepoint folder automatically loaded as separate queries (given that they are all of the same type, csv)?

When I connect to a SQlite db the tables are loaded as separate queries, I was wondering if there is any chance this can be done for the files within a folder as well (instead of selecting one-by-one)?

ps.: I don't want to combine the files into one, all files are of the same type (csv), they have different columns.

Thanks,

Pietro

Hi @Anonymous ,

I don't think there is a way to do it. You could post your ideas about bulk import here to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.

Hi @Anonymous

I don't think if you can automate the creation of new objects like queries, do you mind if I ask why would you need this functionality?

Best Regards,
Mariusz

Hi @Mariusz ,

Thanks for the reply. I'm passed the raw data in a number of csv files (60+), they are regularly updated, they must be processed individually for the creation of this specific report. If I could connect to the folder and have the queries ready, it would be a just way to save some time, if not possible no worries:)
