Hi all,
My source is coming from a folder with multiple excel files which have been formatted into the same headers and range. When I try to unpivot the columns (these columns are basically dates as header and value under the header), it will show as
"This table is empty"
I have manage to identify which excel files are causing the error but I can't seem to pinpoint the issue in the excel file. Excluding the files which causing the error, I mange to unpivot the columns perfectly without any issue.
Do let me know if any other information I need to provide.
Thanks.
How about testing each table before unpivoting?
if Table.IsEmpty(#"Previous Step") then ... else Table.Unpivot(#"Previous Step", ...)
Thanks to the great efforts by MS engineers to simplify syntax of DAX! Most beginners are SUCCESSFULLY MISLED to think that they could easily master DAX; but it turns out that the intricacy of the most frequently used RANKX() is still way beyond their comprehension! |
DAX is simple, but NOT EASY! |
Hello @Anonymous
i just can think of that you are applying some function to every Excel-file (Read file, promote headers in the usedrange, etc) and this function causes to get a empty table of one Excel-file. Are you unpivoting the data after reading every single file or after combing all results?
