Trying to import data from Sharepoint Online Doc Library to PowerBi Desktop

Greetings,

I'm trying to import data from a specific Sharepoint Online document library. However I noticed that when I get the source to import, it doesn't include a number of custom columns I've made that have information it, so there is data loss. So instead of having 5 columns total all I get are 3. Is there a way to add this into the tables?

I'm under the assumption that it's in:  Get Source from Sharepoint folder? Or is there a better way?

Thanks!

@Daemetius,

What is the type of the custom columns you create? You can use the SharePoint Folder connector to connect to your data source and check if the custom columns appear. For more details about the import process, please review this blog: http://www.axioworks.com/2017/04/how-to-import-sharepoint-libraries-into-power-bi-and-create-links-t... .

If the custom columns don't appear, use OData feed entry in Power BI Desktop, and specifying columns for the $select in the OData URL, then check if it is successful. There is a blog for your reference.

By custom I mean that I added additional columns besides the default ones. Most are single line of text. 2 are dates, 1 is a yes/no, and 1 is person/group

@Daemetius,

What is the result after you use the methods I provided?
