Report Refresh is taking long time due to append and group by in a tab

Hi Friends,

I have two tables

table 1 contains 3 million records 

table 2 contains 2 million records 

and I am doing “append as new” using these two tables which is table 3

now this table 3 is having Group by and some filters which is taking long time to refresh.

and when I do “Close and Apply”

table 1 is taking 15 mins to load the data 

table 2 is taking less than 15 mins to load the data

table 3 is taking 30mins to refresh but report is not saving even after 12 hours also I seeing report in refresh but records Count is reached but still I am seeing report refresh without increasing its count

Please help what can be done and how to resolve this issue

Why are you loading all three tables if Table 3 is the append of 1 and 2.  You can right click on the first two queries and uncheck enable load if not needed.  Also, for troubleshooting, you can do a Keep Rows step early on in the queries for 1 and 2 to reduce the # of rows while troubleshooting.  Once you figure it out, you can remove those steps.
