Pulling .xlsx from Sharepoint and converting it to CSV in python script

I'm trying to pull an .xlsx file from Sharepoint and convert it to CSV in python by running a script. After the file would get converted to CSV, I have a script written to perform some data cleanup. After that, I may have to convert it back to a .xlsx for my subsequent data cleanup steps executed in PowerBI not Python. Can someone advise?

cannot help with the pyton code, but why bother with the conversion? why not pulling XLSX to PowerBI directly and doing all the data cleanup there?
