Problems with personal gateway

I have had personal gateway running on my machine for a couple of months and it has worked perfectly.  I decided to upgrade and now i can't seem to get the powerbi site to recognize it.  The gateway status and Datasouce credentials sections of all my datasets are grayed out.  I have read all the posts and solutions i can find.


  • Installed latest gateway and desktop versions, many times, as administrator.  Gateway installs fine and is running as a service. 
  • I have a pro account.  
  • Old gateway refreshed two days ago so i don't think its a firewall issue. 

I can't seem to find log files or diagnostic tools.  Any suggestions?

I had this happen a while back and even though my versions matched, the gateway just would not work. I ended up uninstalling the gateway and doing a clean reinstallation. Not sure why but that worked.  Good luck!
