PowerQuery and Oracle Raw column

Trying to create a dataflow against an oracle db where the PKs are guids stored as Raw.  PowerQuery thinks that it is a binary and drops the column as complex type.  Cant convert to a different datatype as the option is disabled and just shows binary.

This is kind of dirty, but it does the trick: concat an empty string to the columns that give you trouble as done below.

= Oracle.Database("MYDATABASE", [Query="select t.guid_column || '' from mytable t", CreateNavigationProperties=false])

Hi @Anonymous ,

If a binary column is in the output of the steps of a query, attempting to refresh the data through a gateway can cause errors. It's recommended that you explicitly remove any binary columns as the last step in your queries.

Does it work to add a custom column with Binary.ToText([BinaryColumn])?
