Hi,
I was trying to create a gateway between Power BI and on prem SQL server. For this I downloaded enterprise gateway on the SQL server where the DB exists, the set up was successful, to configure the gateway it asked me to sign in to PowerBI, which I tried and it kept failing. When I try doing the same on my PC it works and I am able to log into PowerBI.Does anyone know why I cannot login form the server? Can you please help me with this?
First guess would be that Windows Firewall or enterprise firewalls are configured such that they specifically limit the ability of the SQL Server to be accessed from and access the outside world. This is not entirely unusual with on-premises database servers, which tend to be more locked down than a number of other systems.
Any chance you can copy and paste the entire contents of the error?
Thank you for you reply @Greg_Deckler. Below is the complete error.
