Hi Power guys
I can't be the first one with this challenge 🙂
I have a problem with scraping data from a source, which of course updates, but than the old rows disappears.
(The source only have the last X days of data displayed).
Let's say I scrap a website / table like:
01-28-2020 123
01-29-2020 234
01-30-2020 345
01-31-2020 456
02-01-2020 567
02-02-2020 678
02-03-2020 789
02-04-2020 891
How do I refresh the data and still keep the old dates (rows) in Power BI Desktop / without "deleting" them:
01-28-2020 123
01-29-2020 234
01-30-2020 345
01-31-2020 456
02-01-2020 567
02-02-2020 678
02-03-2020 789
02-04-2020 891
02-05-2020 894
02-06-2020 895
02-07-2020 896
02-08-2020 897
Is there an easy way, like just hit a button "insert data as new rows" / "keep old rows"?
I have seen someone duplicate the data to a new table and merge, but it take forever if you what to do it offen.
The problem comes from:
https://socialblade.com which only display a certain number of dates (rows) back, and thereby hide the historic data.
(I'm a newbie)
Thank you so much, best regards
Christian

Power BI has no persistent storage of its own. That is because it is a reporting database, not a storage DB. I wrote an article on one way to solve for the issue you describe.
