Hi,

I am trying to create automatically a new table from an orginal one to be able to depivot colums and be able to create a waterfall chart.

Step 1 : Duplicate table and depivot columns ( effect 1, effect 2, effect 3)

Step 2 : Waterfall chart

Is there a way to automatize step 1 in order that when new datas are available the second table is regenerated automatically with depivoted columns or is there an oter way to get round this issue?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @miguesnet ,

In simple terms, Duplicate will duplicate the code of the query while Query Reference will only refer the result of the query.

Duplicate is generally used when you would like to create a similar query and you do not want to type the same code. You can make changes to this query.

Reference in Query means you would like to use that Query results in some other queries where your original query remains as a base Query and it can be used in other queries for the further processing.

So it sounds as if you will need to use Reference when you build your new table, it should be automatic after that.

Let me know if you have any questions.

If this solves your issues, please mark it as the solution, so that others can find it easily. Kudos are nice too.
