Odata URL - SAP ECC and Power BI

Hi Community,

While performing the function - Get Data - from Power BI using the Odata feed URL, shown below, in Power BI, it shows the error code 500, Internal Server Error. This is a URL generated in SAP Gateway service, which will give the Odata feed from SAP ECC system.

http://<server name>:8000/sap/opu/odata/sap/ZSDSRN_ODATA_SRV_01/zsale_dataSet?sap-client=500

However the same URL works fine while executing it from the Internet Browser.

As we understand, the URL part "sap-client=500" at the end, may be not rightly be interpreted by Power BI Get data function.

Is there any other way for mentioning the same. This part of the URL identifies the client system to which SAP connection is to be made.

Your help would be appreciated.

JF

Hi @Anonymous ,

Because Odata feed is just a connector, we can't find out fully based on the 500 error. Please clear permission for the current data source and use Fiddler to trace log. (Fiddler Web Debugger Tool)
