Hi,
I have an HTTP API that exposes data such that it can be read by PowerBI and translated into a dataset.
The HTTP API operates on a closed network. I need to know the address of the server on PowerBI that executes the scheduled data requests when the automatic dataset update has been enabled, such that I can allow the connection.
Does anyone know where to find this information?

Hi @Anonymous,
The solution for your scenario is to install the On-Prem data gateway on your local network where you have access to your internal web server, and also have outbound access to the Internet. This will allow Power BI service to get an external connection from the on-prem gateway and establish a secure connection between Power BI service and your web server to support scheduled refresh. In many cases, the gateway will already allow the scheduled refresh to work without any further configurations. But if you would still need to make adjustments, this document can explain what you should enable on your firewall.
