Merging on Power Query causes data to disappear

When merging tables on Power query my data then dissapears on the data tab on the front end/visual end of power bi desktop.

Very tempemental. Some times when I merge tables the data pulls all the way through, but sometimes the data seems to dissapear. I can see the data in the Power Query window but not on the Data tab when i close and apply.

Sometimes, when it doesn't work, I delete the report and start again from scratch and then it works fine.

I feel like this might be a Power BI Bug as I do the exact same thing every time and it never seems to be consistent.

The tables are all coming from SQL queries.

Look under Options and settings and play with the Query cache size to see if it makes a difference.

Also consider that changes in your data source content may impact the final outcome, depending on what transforms you do. Hard to tell without seeing the code.
