MSOLAP/SQL Conncetion

Hi,

i can connect with Excel to the Database, but with PowerBI it is not possible.

In Excel the connection is: "From Analysis Services"

Provider=MSOLAP.4;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=USERNAME;Initial Catalog=XXX;Data Source="https://XXXX/xmla/database=XXXX";MDX Compatibility=1;Safety Options=2;MDX Missing Member Mode=Error

How do i setup the connection in PowerBI?

There is an Analysis Services data source connector in Power BI. Are you getting an error?

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

Error: Unable to Connect Details:"AnalysisServices: the connection either timed out or was lost." or in some cases: "Unexpected Error" Value cannot be null. Parameter name: String

The links is:

"https://cloud.XXXX.com/xmla/database=YYYYY";Initial Catalog=ZZZZZ

I tried:

Server: https://cloud.XXXX.com/xmla/database=YYYYY

Database: blank

AND

Server: https://cloud.XXXX.com/xmla/

Database:YYYYY

AND

Server: https://cloud.XXXX.com/xmla

Database:YYYYY

AND

Server: https://cloud.XXXX.com

Database:YYYYY

How to setup the Innitial Catalog?

Thanks a lot!
