Not sure whether this is the correct place to post so forgive me if it's out of place.
Some months ago I created a Power BI account using one of my work email addresses (I am a sole trader) in order to use the Xero content pack. The content pack never worked for me - it wouldn't synchronise reliably and I gave up on it. I have since signed up with Quickbooks and would like to try their content pack. However I can no longer log in to Power BI with the email address and password I had created with the Xero integration - I get an incorrect password error:
I can't reset the password, the message I get is that the account is not enabled for password reset:
I click on the link for MS to contact an administrator in my organisation to reset the password and am duly presented with the message that an email has been sent to the administrator however I am the administrator for my domain - as I said, I am a sole trader not an enterprise and no email shows up anywhere of course.
If I try and register a new account with Power BI with that email address, naturally, I get an error message that the email address has already been registered. So it seems I can't use that email address any more with Power BI. There is no contact details on any of the pages to send an email to a Power BI administrator to try and sort it out. So I'm coming here to ask if anyone knows what next steps I can take to either reset the password for that account or to have it deleted so I can re-register it.
TIA,
Karl
Hi @KarlinOz,
Please reset your password in Office Portal following the guide in this blog: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/charles_sterling/2016/06/08/resetting-your-power-bi-password/.
