I am working on a project involving building Power BI reports and dashboards using a SharePoint list as the source of the data. I had a few questions concerning this issue moving forward, but haven't seen them answered anywhere else.
1. What kind of limitations are there for processing the items in a SharePoint list in Power BI? Is there a limit to the number of items that can be in the list for Power BI to consume the data properly and produce reports?
2. What kind of "gotchas" are there when connecting Power BI to SharePoint lists? Are there known issues in maintaining a sync?
My initial tests in connecting Power BI to a SharePoint list and building reports have been successful, but the lists I'll be using in the real project will likely grow very large in size. I want to be sure I'm not going to hit a brick wall later into production.
