I'm trying to change the type of two columns with a variable and with them subtract them but I find this error
Solved! Go to Solution.
1. You need to combine both transformation steps.
2. You can't subtract one step from another. You will need to subtract columns from each other.
See the working here - Open a blank query - Home - Advanced Editor - Remove everything from there and paste the below code to test
let
Source = Table.FromRows(Json.Document(Binary.Decompress(Binary.FromText("i45WMlTSUTJTitWJVjICskzBLDMgy1IpNhYA", BinaryEncoding.Base64), Compression.Deflate)), let _t = ((type nullable text) meta [Serialized.Text = true]) in type table [Column1 = _t, Column2 = _t]),
#"Changed Type" = Table.TransformColumnTypes(Source,{{"Column1", type number}, {"Column2", type number}}),
#"Added Custom" = Table.AddColumn(#"Changed Type", "Custom", each [Column2]-[Column1])
in
#"Added Custom"
