Hello Everybody,
is it possible to make incremental refresh work with Odata? So far I havent found a way to make things work. No matter how much I try the filtering of an Odata Query is not folded to the source. I first tryed Query Folding with a simple Query for an Entry_No not even aiming for the paramters or dates.
I use the Query Diagnostics to trace if the Query send to the server is parametrized but it is not.
Example:
let
Source = OData.Feed("SourceURL"),
VendorLedgerEntries = Source[VendorLedgerEntries],
#"Filterd Rows" = Table.SelectRows(VendorLedgerEntries, each ([Entry_No] = 8857))
in
#"Filterd Rows"
This results only in the following Query send to server:
Request: GET http://SourceURL/VendorLedgerEntries HTTP/1.1 Response: http://SourceURL/VendorLedgerEntries HTTP/1.1 200 OK |
The only time this does work is when I set the parameter myself in the Query, however then it will not work in the service.
Example:
let
Source = OData.Feed("SourceURL/VendorLedgerEntries?$filter=Entry_No eq 8857", null, [Implementation="2.0"])
in
Source
=> This is what I would like to see in the previous example in my Query Diagnostics
Is there any way of Query folding in Odata at all? If so how to make use of it?
And is it possible to use the Parameters RangeStart and RangeEnd with Odata for incremental refresh?
Help would be appreciated 😄

Hi @Anonymous
It is a limitation currently as the data sources doesn't support query folding.
