Import Custom Work Item Types from VSTS

Hello,

I'm attempting to do a Proof of Concept that uses Power BI to display key metrics from our VSO hosted VSTS projects. We've made some modifications to customize our templates in VSTS, but the custom changes don't appear to be available in PowerBI when I import my Project data using the VSTS Data Source.

Is this possible? Am I missing something simple? Or do I have to export the data to Excel and import using a file importer?

Cheers,

Hi @klousiaj,

Based on my research, not all work items data are available when integrating with VSTS. Currently, supported work item types are these: Current state, trend data, and rollup. You can take a look at this article: What's available in the Power BI connector for Team Services.

In your scenario, if custom changes are not belong to available data item, it's expected it will not display in Power BI .

Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu
