I need few columns from existing table and leave old table in same way in Power BI.
I need to know which will work faster in Power BI.
I tried summarize DAX and picked few columns and created a New table.
I tried duplicating the old table and deleting the columns and created a new table.

They don't have much difference. Ideally, using dax pick the column is faster, you read through the table and pick up a few columsn is faster than you read and write in all data and then remove some of them. Basically less steps mean faster process.
