I have a shared folder on one drive which I want to connect to with power BI. how do I do this

I have setup the links to connect to individual files in One Drive.

 

However when I copy the link for the folder I get an error "The folder must be a valid absolute file path"

 

Any suggetions?

Hi @j_hob ,

By my tests, you could get the shared folder from OneDrive in Power BI Desktop with the steps below.

1. Get Data>>Folder

2. Select the Folder in OneDrive.

3. Click ok, you will see the files in the folder.

Thank you but I have already tried this.  I needed a solution that I could implement where the data is automatically updated in Power BI using one drive.  If I connect this way the automatic updated doesn't work

By my tests, you could get the shared folder from OneDrive in Power BI Desktop with the steps below.
