Hi all,
I've got an azure tabular model, set up on an azure network domain, running a tabular model. I'm able to connect & make reports/dashboards against it online via pbi.com.
I'd like to use pbi desktop for authoring, and have them uploaded to pbi.com for general consumption. In pbi desktop i've tried Get Data -> Azure -> Azure SQL Database. I get to a login screen, which i populate with my azure rdp credentials, and pbi desktop says authentication failed. I've tried many times, and verified it works via rdp.
What am I doing wrong?
thanks for any suggestions,
sff
@Anonymous I think you are missing step to allow firewall access. So via azure portal Ensure firewall rules for the database are configured to 'Allow access to Azure services' and that should fix the issue.
wasn't aware there was such a fw rule - will look into it - many thanks!
