How to access report url filter parameter in power query

Hi,

I publish PBI reports to a in-house Power BI Report Server.

I pass URL parameters to filter the reports and one of the parameter is the user name.

I can access the user name in DAX but I need to get the user name in power query.

Is there a way to access/extract these url filter parameters in Power Query to extract the user name?

Or is there any other way in Power Query to get the user name of the user accessing  the report in PBIRS?

I Googled but could not find a good solution.

@ImkeF , do you have any solutions please?

Hi @anandav ,
you cannot access them via Power Query and I'm not aware of any alternative, unfortunately.

If you liked my solution, please give it a thumbs up. And if I did answer your question, please mark this post as a solution. Thanks!

Thanks @ImkeF .

Its unfortunate the url parameters cannot be accessed from Power Query.

Is there any way to dynamically change the data file path based on the user accessing the Power BI?

e.g. C:\path\UserName\filename.xlsx

How can the UserName in the path be changed based on the user using the PBI?

I can use parameters but that means the user have to enter the value. I want to make it automated.
