How do I connect SalesforceIQ to Power BI

Hi all,

I am new to PowerBI.  My company is using SalesforceIQ, not Salesforce Cloud, as CRM tool. Every month, I export data from SalesforceIQ to Excel, manipulate/edit the data, and then analyse and make report in Excel. The report revolved around business development activity, like how active is our communication with our contacts, how many new contacts we have over the last month, what products are they interested in etc. Now, I am thinking to using PowerBI to link directly to SalesforceIQ. Has anyone done so? Does PowerBI allows to connect to SalesforceIQ (not Salesforce Cloud)?  Many Thanks.

Based on my research, SalesforceIQ provides REST API to get data. You can directly connect to SaleforceIQ in the web connector or define the connection strings in a blank query. For mode details, please check the examples in the following blog and similar thread.

Hi Lydia,

Thank you so much for the response. I have zero knowledge in API and I tried to go throught the blog you sent. I do not understand most of it, so could not work out how to connect them. However, that does not mean your suggestion does not work. The problem lies on me as I need to research and learn more on API.
