Having trouble getting accurate goal data from GA

Does anyone know how I can get accurate goal completion data into Power BI from Google Analytics?

We have a goal set up on on our website every time someone requests a sample and completes the sample checkout.

If I take one day - the 3rd Sept - and break down these sample checkouts by date and time in GA, and sort it by hour, the data looks like this (up to 3.55pm - this is just a segment):

But in Power BI the data imported has 3's as the number of completions instead of 1's and it misses large bits of data:

In GA between 6.23am and 1pm there are 10 sample requests.

In Power BI for the same time period there are 5 sample requests.

Checking GA data against our own CMS, it is all correct. But Power BI is way out. Anyway to fix this?

@jonte,

The GA data in Power BI is getting sampled, please check product team's response in this similar thread.

"This is expected behavior. The API we're using for Google Analytics is the one available to free users, and that API is known to return less accurate values for high volume sites due to the way it samples data. Unfortunately, the API for Google Analytics Premium customers is significantly different than that for the free users, so we'd need to implement a new connector specifically for Premium in order to get the more accurate values. This is not currently on our roadmap. Customers who would like to see this feature should request it or upvote it (if already there) at ideas.powerbi.com."
