Enterprise Gateway (maintenance)

All.

Struggling to work with Enterprise Gateway.

On one machine I have the Gateway running and I have added two data sources. (how is the second supposed to work?).

How do I make changes, like

- delete a data source

- update data source information (such as database name)

I would also like to change the selected Gateway for a specific dataset (I used to have one running on a local machine, but not anymore).

These "admin""functions don't seem available ?

Let me know ?

Corne

Hi @caantjes,

Firstly, you can click the data source and choose Remove to delete it. There is an example for your reference.

Secondly, you are not able to update database name or other settings in existing data source. You will need to add another data source and type new server name, database name and so on.

Thirdly, after adding data source for specific dataset, you can choose the Gateway in Settings for [yourdataset]  as shown in the following screenshot.

@caantjes You need to do that via power bi service. So under settings icon click Manage Gateways and for each data source under Gateway name you can change configurations.

Thanks for the quick response.

This is the area where I am at and where I experience the issues.

Are you able to make these type of changes ?

Thanks,

Corne
