Dynamic Row Level Security for SQL Server 2014 Tabular Model

If I implement dynamic row level security in the SSAS tabular BI Semantic Model (BISM.)  Will users using the SharePoint 2013 Excel Services Power Pivot reports inherit the row level security from the tabular model, and see only data the user has permission to?  The data is stored on an SQL 2012 server outside the SharePoint farm.  We authenticate using Kerberos.

A user created many PowerPivot reports, and would like to make them available across the enterprise, which is large.  He would like each user to see only data they have the right to see.  I read PowerPivot does not support row level security, and the Analysis Services role-based authorization model is not supported.  So I am not sure if what he wants is possible.

I read about the SharePoint EffectiveUserName feature for Excel Services, but it seems the users have to be given administrative rights.  We do not want to grant administrative rights to the users.

I am a little familiar with security, and new to the tabular BISM, so any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Doris
