Data view not working with large SQL server datasources

Hi.  Has anyone noticed an issue with large SQL server datasources (queries that return more than 20k rows) that when you do Merge queries in Power query with another SQL server datasource, the data Merges correctly and looks correct in Power Query, but as soon as you Close and Apply, then the data does not show up at all in Data View (0 rows)?  This has happened to me many times. I have tried refreshing the data, Clearing my Cache, unchecking "Allow data preview to download in background", & upgrading to the latest deskop release.  None of those have resolved the issue.  I am using Import and not Direct Query.

The only work around I have found is to add Table.Buffer to my SQL Server datasources.

I have not had this issue with Oracle datasources that return over 1M rows.

Is this a known issue with SQL server datasources returning many rows?

Hi @Anonymous ,

If I understand your issue correctly that you have the problems when import data from SQL Server Database with large dataset.

I have not had this problems before in power bi. If it is convenient, could you share the screeshots about this issue.

Besides, do you have this issue everytime when import the data source?

In addition, if your data source is very large, I'm afraid that use direct query mode will be better.

Will you have this issue for direct query?

Best  Regards,

Cherry

Hi,

How many row and column  for my solution i analyst and plan a model and shap data for using it only because if your load all data and don't use Query may have low performance in the next feauture and let use see post link as below for information :
