Data from SAP BW open ODS view not correct - (Cartesian product)

Hi all

I have a BEx Query which is based on an open ODS view in SAP BW. (What is an open ODS view: https://help.sap.com/doc/saphelp_nw74/7.4.16/en-US/3c/2501f075cb42b1aef74b6b4e5fa9de/content.htm?no_...)

I use Power BI to load this data via import mode. Unfortunately, the data I get is the Cartesian product so it can't be used.

The data in BW looks like this:

CountryUser
SwitzerlandUser 1
GermanyUser 2

But the data I see in Power BI looks like this:

CountryUser
SwitzerlandUser 1
SwitzerlandUser 2
GermanyUser 1
GermanyUser 2

So I wonder if anybody has experience with loading data from a BW Open DSO View. Is this even supported by Power BI?

Use LibreOffice or OpenODS, and you will be able to open it correctly. Hope that helps you 😉
