Hi,
I don't know if this is a problem that's always been in Desktop, or has only just appeared with a recent update. I'm getting the following issue when trying to insert a custom column:
Basically I've got some columns where the length of the name is so long that it is now overlapping the text box to enter the coding for the custom column. I've never seen this before, despite being fairly certain that I've had long column names before - I think previously it would have shown just the start of the column name. Not being able to see what I'm typing is a bit of an issue - does anyone know if this is a known bug?
edit - I've just pulled out an old version of Desktop, and this is what it used to do with a long column name:
i.e. it wouldn't show all of it

MCSA: BI ReportingHi, @jthomson
I have tested with the latest version of Power BI Desktop. The custom column UI appears correct. I wonder which version you are using. You may try updating your version to the latest one to see if it works.
Here is the version of my Power BI Desktop.
Best Regards

I'm on 2.85.963.0 (Sept 20) and it's still occurring, so I don't know if I've yet to receive a partial update

MCSA: BI ReportingYou should submit that as an issue in this forum. It looks like they broke something in a recent build.
