Create Column and perform Transformation in Single Step

Hi everyone!

Is it possible to Create Column and perform Transformation in Single Step.

Below are the two steps I use at the moment, however was wondering if there was a more efficent way to do this in a single step.

#"Step 2" = Table.DuplicateColumn(#"Step 1", "Plan Item", "Plan"),
#"Step 3" = Table.TransformColumns(#"Step 2", {{"Plan", each Text.Start(_, 3), type text}}),

Any help or advice would be most appreciated!

Thanks!

You can add a column instead

= Table.AddColumn(#"Step 1", "Plan", each Text.Start([Plan Item],3), type text)
