Cloud Excel data source

Hi everyone,

My company is looking into replacing servers with cloud technologies. I currently get the data for Power BI from Excel on my PC.

The expectation in the future is for them to upload new Excel reports in Box.com (the cloud storrage we're using) and for the new report to automatically feed into the Power BI Dashboard?

I couldn't manage to Get data from Box.com so far, do you know if this is possible?

And also, in terms of just refereshing the data? I've been doing it manually so far, is there any other way to automatically have it updated with the latest datasets they have?

Thank you so much!

@VivianaTudora,

I have found no method that can be used to connect to Excel file located in Box from Power BI, there is an idea about this issue, please vote it up.

In your scenario, I would recommend you store Excel in OneDrive or SharePoint online, then connect to the Excel file in Power BI Desktop and set schedule refresh for  the dataset in Power BI Service. There is an article for your reference.
