Hi all,
Is it possible to change the account that has been used to install the on-prem data gateway with? For example I'm using it right now with admin@domain1.onmicrosoft.com, but in the future we have to use the same gateway for a different domain and use it with user admin@domain2.onmicrosoft.com. Is this possible?
Note: We don't need both domains to access the gateway.
Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous
The steps above is to change the orginizational account the Gateway is associated with.
2. select "Change account"(pic1)
->enter Windows account ((pic2)
(this step needs Windows account to verify the connection between Gateway and your server)
->enter new account (you want to the new account to be associated with the gateway)(pic3)
(This step needs you to enter the new account the Gateway is associated with)
->select second option(pic4)
->enter recovery key((pic5)
Best Regards

I can follow the steps but the actual change of ownership is not working at all.
when I login with new account, no gateway.
when I login with the old account, the gateway shows up.
I repeated the steps for three time, the same outcome.
Hi @Anonymous
I could change the account associated with the gateway.
1. search gateway and start it, sign in with my account(old, before changing account)
2. select "Change account"(pic1)
->enter Windows account ((pic2)
->enter new account (you want to the new account to be associated with the gateway)(pic3)
->select second option(pic4)
->enter recovery key((pic5)
Note:
1. Windows account is not the same account used to connect to on-premises data sources. The account is also not the work or school account that you sign in to cloud services with.
On my side, it the account i log in to my server, i can find it in Settings->Account->Your Info.
2.recovery key is the key when you install gateway and sign in with your old account at first time

Okay, so this is only to change the service account (Local Windows). Is it also possible to change the orginizational account the Gateway is associated with? Or is a new fresh installation needed then?
