Hello community,
I have a list of URL's in a custom column in Table 1 extracted from a webside. Also, I want to extract data from each link in the list creating a Table 2 and then converted it in a function. Is there any chance to call that custom column into my function using DAX coding that allows me to put out Table 2?
(Address as text) as table =>
let
Source = Web.BrowserContents("https://website.com/address/numbers", [WaitFor=[Timeout=#duration(0, 0, 0, 2)]]),
#"Extracted Table From Html" = Html.Table(Source, {{"Column1", ".key-row-bg-colour .tbl-row-cell-heading"}, {"Column2", ".key-row-bg-colour TD"}}, [RowSelector=".key-row-bg-colour"]),
#"Changed Type" = Table.TransformColumnTypes(#"Extracted Table From Html",{{"Column1", type text}, {"Column2", type text}})
in
#"Changed Type"
"https://website.com/Different_addressess_from_customColumn/different_numbers_from_customColumn" I do not know if that makes sense to anybody, I am still a newbie.

Hello
this would be quite difficult to describe to newbie.
You can create a basic function to extract the data from such a website https://website.com/Different_addressess_from_customColumn/different_numbers_from_customColumn" using two parameters to build the complete path. Then use the new function and add a new column with the function, imputing values of 2 different columns to feed the function. function could look like
(addresscustomcolumn, numberscustomcolumn) =>
let
webresult = ource = Web.BrowserContents("https://website.com/" & addresscustomcolumn & "/" & numberscustomcolumn etc....
Hope you got an idea how to work it out
Good look
