Blank In PowerBI Report View and Null in Power Query

Hi,

There is field showing some rows as "null" in power query but in the report view it is showing as blank:

POWER QUERY

REPORT VIEW

What I am trying to achieve is for the blank rows in the report view to be showing as "null" instead.

I've used Replace Values in Power Query already but this doesn't work for some reason.

Thanks

Hi @Peppearson ,

This is by design. If you want to keep the null in a numeric type column in the report view, you need to convert the column to a text column first, and then show the text null in the report view.

You should be able to replace a null with "null". The step code would look like this:

Table.ReplaceValue(#"Prev Step Name", null, "null", Replacer.ReplaceValue, {"ColName"})
