Hello All,
I am building a modeling set based off of some particular run metrics. Each run has samples with unique IDs, but every run also has both a positive and negative control on it, named as PositiveControl and NegativeControl, respectively, in each run (pretty much always the same name).
I need to be able to create a report that is able to link to tables together, "A Metrics" and "B Metrics". However, I run into the error below when trying to apply changes. To reiterate, the relationships between A Metrics and B Metrics is set to a cardinality of 1:1, Cross filter direction of "Both".
Is there a way to have the relationship work around these duplicate names? I think going forward I will tyr to make sure the positive/negative controls have dates after their names, but is there a way to relate these runs with how the data is currently?
In Power Query select the down arrow next to the Sample ID column header and untick both control values. These will then be excluded from the data load and will allow you to create the relationship, as long as there no other duplicate values
Hello John,
Thank you for your reply. I should have mentioned it in the original post, but I do actually need the Positve/Negative controls to appear in the data, as these are metrics we need to track as well.
