Hi,
I have a file saved on an Azure file server, and am wondering if it's possible to enable automatic daily refreshes? We've configured the on-prem gateway which works great with our on-prem SQL data sources. However, when I try to schedule a refresh for the excel-fed report, it's telling me to install a personal gateway.
Any ideas on how to get the existing gateway to talk to the file on Azure?
Thanks!

Hi @jl20,
In your scenario, please install a on-premise data gateway on this Azure VM, then sign in with your Power BI account. Go to Manage Gateways in Power BI service, create a File data source under data gateway which points to the Excel file, use the exactly same path as one when you create a report in Power BI desktop. If the report contains other data sources, you need to create other data source under data gateway as well. Then go to dataset settings, you should be able to configure the dataset to use data gateway.
