Appending two tables

Hello,

I am attempting to compare IRS Income data by zip codes in 2007 and 2017. The problem is this: As I append the query, I get two columns each named ZIP code. The rest of the Columns transform as I want them to. Is there something I need to do to index the zip code column and make it unique?

@PowerQQ - the columns have to have the same name, and Power Query is case sensitive, so "Zip Code" and "ZIP code" are seen as two different things.

In the step before your Append operation, make sure both columns are spelled the same with the same case sensitivity.

DAX is for Analysis. Power Query is for Data Modeling

Hi @PowerQQ ,

You need to rename the column with the same name in both tables. So it will append correctly.
