Adding daily data to historical table

Hi all,

Does anyone have an idea of making a historical table? I have daily data that I want to add to the existing data table every day. I want to append the new file with the existing file without overwriting. Adding rows to the existing table.

Thanks

Gheisar

Hi @gheisargheisar

It should be possible in some case.

1. Assume your data is local, you have different files for historical data and current data.

In this case,

  • Name the files with dates information.
  • Make the historical data file and current data file in the same folder, then connect to the folder with Power BI.
  • Create a copy the original query in Edit queries, one query to show the last file(current data), another to show historical data.

2. If your data is online and changes everytime, please refer to the thread which is much helpful.
