Access Logs for Data Sources

Hello,

I'm looking for access logs on Database objects from Power BI.

For example: I have a chart reading live from a query extracting data from three tables. How many times did power BI accessed the database to retrieve data?

I'm looking for number of access to the database by Power BI from the Power BI side. Is there any type of log I can access with this type of data?

Thanks

@danielferrer,

Do you connect to SQL database in Power BI Desktop? If so, you can use SQL Server Profiler to connect to your SQL Server, then capture the query that Power BI Desktop send to your server.

If you connect to other types of database in Power BI Desktop, your database server should have similar monitor tool like SQL Server Profiler, you can use to check query times.

If there's a tabular layer (semantic layer) on top of the SQL Server database that queries the data can the profiler grab what user ran the query?
