While the recent release of the connector for QuickBooks Online is fantastic I believe there would be a large draw to the Power Platform if a QuickBooks Desktop connector was made available. As a CPA I advise clients daily on software options and which choice fits their needs. For the majority of people this is not QuickBooks Online due to the lack of support for specific features needed by different industries such as Form 943 and Piecework payroll support for the agriculture industry and the lack of manual payroll options for businesses with more complex payrolls that if run through the automated QBO payroll system would be disastrous.
Please, please, please can we get a QuickBooks Desktop connector? All the currently available options are priced too high for many small businesses and I think that PowerApps, with it's incredible flexibility, could add a lot of value to the lives of my clients should there be a QuickBooks Desktop connector.
