Connectivity Issue between Power BI and SAP HANA Database

Dear Team,

I am facing issue while connecting to SAP HANA Databse through Power BI.

Error Description : Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

FYI: I am using HBDODBC driver to connect to SAP HANA Database on my machine. Server is delpoyed in our company premises.

We are able to connect to Database but when it comes to drilling down to Table level details . We are facing the above mentioned error(please refer attached screenshot).

We already ensured that HDBODBC driver and Power BI version are same i.e. 64 Bit

Hana Client used is : hanaclient-2.4.182-windows-x64

Looking forward to your support.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I would agree with @GilbertQ .
I think the multidimensional database does not want to be read out on a granular level across all dimension elements and calculations.

Hi there

From the error message is it not possible that your server is running out of memory when trying to go down to lower levels?

What happens if you just stay at the highest level?

Thank you for posting your question.  I'm unfamiliar with  the HBDODBC driver  connecting to SAP HANA Database.  Which power platform products are you trying to work together?  I'm sure others may know, but I'm unfamiliar with the above.

Thank you,

Eric
