Best approach to build a Power BI solution for UK Homeless Sector

Hi everyone,

I work for a national membership charity for organisations working directly with people who become homeless in England.

We deliver a successful Salesforce Case Management application to our member organisations and now want to extend that with a Business Intelligence solution. We have been exploring Power BI but would love to get some advice on how best to implement a Power BI solution.

Our high level requirements are:

- We want to develop a 'template' Power BI solution that we can maintain and develop allowing us to easily share (push) updates out to our organisations.

-We need to easily be able to connect individual organisations to their own Salesforce instance (connecting to our Salesforce managed package solution) (our member organisations and UK charities with their own email domains).

- We want our member organisations to be able to add their own data source to our template (e.g. financial data) and customize their Power BI implementation (with our support).

I have been speaking to people about using Solution Templates, Content Packs or even Power BI Embedded (although that would not allow individual organisations to add their own data sources).

Would be great to get some advice from the Power BI Community.

Best wishes,

Maarten Rooney
