Null is "overtranslated" to Finnish

[ Edited ]
  • Power BI Product/App/Service Name: Power BI Desktop
  • Language affected: Finnish
  • Current Translation: (tyhjäarvo)
  • Steps to reproduce the error: Open Query Editor and open the filter list from a column with null values.
  • Suggested Translation: Do not translate. Leave it as "(null)".
  • Corresponding English Text (if known): null
  • Reason for change:  If you have null values in a column, those values are not translated, but the filter list is translated as "(tyhjäarvo)". It might be confusing for some basic level users. I suggest not to translate it at all, because null is well-known word in Finnish.

Re: Null is "overtranslated" to Finnish

Hi, @heidienho. Finnish moderator reviewed it and wants to keep the translated term. The translated term has been used in many of Microsoft products including Office products. Can you please let me know if this is acceptable?

Thank you

Re: Null is "overtranslated" to Finnish

Hi @Mira,

Well, I would use the same text on the filter list and on the table but (tyhjäarvo) is also acceptable. Smiley Wink
