Vancouver Power BI User Group - Redefining TMI: Increasing Information Density in Data Visualization

[ Edited ]

First, Yana Berkovich presenting a quick overview of the latest features and updates that came out in the most recent release of Power BI.

Next, Andry Layarda will be presenting on data visualization techniques. One of the biggest myths perpetuated in dashboard design is the need to reduce the amount of information displayed as to not overwhelm users. This practice masks the more relevant issue of selecting the best method to present and communicate data.

In this session, learn how to apply information density techniques that maximize human perception, enabling you to present more information in your dashboards without overwhelming users.

Andry Layarda is the Chief Information Officer of 3AG Systems. He has over 15 years of experience in the analytics and business intelligence field, specializing in data warehouse design and implementation. Andry is passionate about harnessing the power of data and turning them into actionable insights.
