"we can't find the app" when trying to download from Windows 10 app store

Surface couldn't install PowerBI app from the store. Error was "we can't find this app" (but that error showed after it ran through the download/installing/restoring cloud data phases). After everything I could think, I got support with me. They proceeded to break it so much that the store no longer exists in any capacity for any user, or even if you create a new user account.

I finally reinstalled my entire operating system from scratch image, and now I still can't install the app. Please for the love of all that is good, help me.

Hi,

We are glad to hear that you were able to install the app using the link provided.

Please let us know if you still facing issues downloading the app directly from the store, it should work on all Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 devices. (It doesn't run on Windows phones or on Windows RT devices.)

Thank you,

Dana.

Hang on, I realized that the Power BI app that I had installed was for Office 365 Power BI. I clicked the start button, and typed ""Power BI", in the list, there is a heading for "Store", click that. In the Store search, type "Power BI" and you should see it as an option, click on it and then install. Worked just now for me but your mileage may vary.

I am running this app but I *believe* I installed before my upgrade to Windows 10. About 99.9% sure. I'd uninstall it and try to reinstall it to test, but now I'm scared.

I'm on a Surface Pro 3 with Windows 10 with the latest update.
