"Server Password Changed" Issue on iOS app Version 19.1

Hi,

Since the iOS Power BI app update last week, our iOS users are unable to view reports. Upon login, the app pops up with a message "Server Password Changed. Looks like the password for the server has changed. You can't reach your server data from your phone. Enter the new password or remove the account." Attempting to re-enter the credentials just results in a loop with the same message. Removing the account and readding also results in the same.

We are using NTLM (active directory) authentication over HTTP. When accessing through the web browser the reports load fine. When using the app version 19.0, it also loads fine.

We have tried resetting passwords, checking account lockouts, reinstalling but nothing has resolved the issue. Does anyone know what is causing this / how to fix?

Thanks

Thanks for your report
Please try below:
1. Use the new look toggle
2. When getting the pop up, go to the edit password, don’t enter anything and just exit from this screen, if you are getting it again, just try it again, and see if you are still getting it.

Note: We are debugging the issue and will issue a fix this week

Thanks

Hi Yariv,

I did try this however it continues to pop up.

It does display "Mobile report couldn't be loaded. Couldn't retrieve data for dataset xxxx. Status code 401" on top of the Server password changed error when attempting to go back into the report.

As you state you are debugging this issue, is this happening to everyone on 19.1 and can you confirm there is nothing on our side that can be done to resolve/workaround?

Thanks

Hey @Anonymous ,

We are looking into this issue,

I will pubish an update to this thread once we will have a fix.
