connceting powerbi to reporting server

Hello,

I downloaded a PowerBi App on my desktop windows 10 from the store

I tried to conncet to SQL server 2016 Reporting Service server

I enterd my reportserver

 http://localhost/Reports/

my Domain user

domain\username & tried username@domain.com

I entered my domain user Password

but it keeps giving me

Server address not valid

Make sure you're using a SQL Server 2016 Reporting Services server address, eg,
https://server_address/reports or http:server_address/reports.

i used both http and https but still no use.

how can i solve this ???

thanks in advance.

When connecting SSRS 2016 via Power BI Mobile, you need to enable your report server for Power BI mobile access, and you have to be within your domain network.

Hello,

I'm working on my laptop in my company which let me connect same domain of my laptop and the reporting server is my localhost .. so I think I'm in the same domain... when I opened  RSReportServer.config I found it as the same structure as in the topic and nothing to edit...

but I suspect that there is something about firewall...?

could it be?

Was this issue ever resolved? If so how? I have the same issue. I've configured authentication, and the firewall, but the PowerBI app on my laptop (windows 10) can't connect to my locally installed instance of SSRS 2016.

Hi.

I had the same problem What I did.

1. Check or change in your Report Server Configuration Manager -> Database .  Make sure the database is created (You can check with SSMS) and if you already worked with Reporting services , change the name like ReportServerPowerBI.

2. Check in your Report Server Configuration Manager->Web service URL and Web Portal URL change the port name to other like 8091. It's possible you can have conflict with default .

3. Check in your Report Server Configuration Manager-> Power BI Service Cloud .  Check that you are connect to Power bi account. I'm not sure it's necessary . you can try the first two options before this.

I hope it helps.

Regards.
