Hi team,
I have created a report, with web layout and mobile layout saved, in power BI desktop. I am using this report to generate a 'publish to web link' which I am embedding in my website. The issue is, even though the mobile layout has been created, the report is not getting optimized when the website is opened from a mobile device, using web browser. The issue is with the report, as when I am opening the published link (not my website) in mobile web browser, the mobile layout is not coming up as expected (see image)
What am I doing wrong?
Regards
Sourabh
HI @Anonymous ,
AFAIK, Phone layout only works when you use mobile device to view these report contents in power bi mobile app. (mobile web browser not works)
In addition, 'web view' and 'mobile view' not changes report contents, they changed display mode and not save to original report. (these view options also not available on 'publish to web' reports)
Optimize reports for the Power BI mobile apps

Hi @v-shex-msft ,
Then how do we embed reports to websites and make them responsive to mobile screens?
We are using these reports to publish outside our organization and this needs to happen through our website. Sharing reports through powerBI mobile app does not work

Hey @Anonymous ,
Have a look at this embed API: https://microsoft.github.io/PowerBI-JavaScript/demo/v2-demo/index.html#

Hi @mshenhav
I have seen this API before. Can you please help me understand this a little better?
Once I create my report with web and mobile layout and published it, should I append my publish link with some code or API key to make it responsive to mobile screens?
Regards
Sourabh
