Power-BI Reports in IOS app

Good morning,

I hope this is not a stupid question, but I have been fustrated using the app and rolling it out to senior managment.

We have a onsite gateway at our oganisation and have deployed a few reports to workgroups. Power-BI is an amazing tool and we hope to roll it out to more users in the organisation in the coming months.

Where there is a disconnect is with the IOS app. The tiles are all interactive through the webinterface and desktop, butnot on the app (drill-downs, filtering, ect). Furthermore, we cannot seem to even access the on page filter for the reports via the app.

Is this intended? Or are we missing a trick with how we develop the reports.

I look forward to any assistance you might have.

Thank you in advance

Francois Vermeulen

Hi @franxan,
I am very happy to hear that you are excited about Power BI and consider it a great tool.
I have read through your pains with reports on the iOS app and I am very happy to annoucne that in the latest release we have introduced Phone reports preview.
Phone reports is a great way to expereince reports on phones – and allows more interactivity around reports – including visualization level drill downs cross highlight and more.
You can read about phone reports preview in this blog post:

Note that Phone reports is still in preview – so not all functionality is there, however, we are working hard on adding functionality.

I encourage you to try Phone reports preview and hope it will improve your mobile experience with Power BI.

Thank you,

In Power BI mobile app, intercation on visual is not fully supported currently. We can only tap on tile to interact with visuals. See: View report page tiles in the iPhone app (Power BI for iOS). Other interactions like drill down are not supported. To filter data, you can user a slicer to filter data. For your requirement, I suggest you submit a feature request on Ideas: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi
